Polycotton or polyester?

Polycotton (Canvo™)

A cotton and polyester blend. It breathes, so the tent stays less humid inside, it is quieter in the wind and it is more durable. It is heavier to carry. A good fit for longer stays, year-round camping and setups with a portable woodburner (keep direct flames away from the tent).

Polyester

Lighter and more packable, and easier on the budget. The Apex Tipi Light has a 2000 mm waterproof rating. A good fit for shorter trips and easy transport.

Before you check out

  • Apex inner tent. Both Apex tents are sold without an inner. The Apex Inner comes in Half (2 people) and Full (4 people), from $99.00. It is currently out of stock.
  • Awning poles. The Soul and Warrior listings both suggest adding Nomadic™ Extendable Fly | Awning poles for extra shade and shelter.
